For Earth Day, we are celebrating climate poetry from our partners at University of Leeds Poetry Centre and the Priestley Centre for Climate Futures. Poets have long used their craft to reframe issues, convey emotion and share ideas, and climate change is an increasing feature of poetry shared across the world. Today we’d like to share ‘The Summit’ written by Simon Armitage, Poet Laureate and founder of the Poetry School’s Laurel Prize.
