‘an ill wind’ by Charlotte Baldwin – Primers Shortlist 2018

Charlotte Baldwin is on the ten-person shortlist for Primers Volume Four. ‘an ill wind’ is taken from her shortlised manuscript, With my lips pressed to the ear of the Earth. We’ve been showcasing the work of all the shortlisted writers over the past two weeks. Click here to read more poems.

Charlotte Baldwin works as an arts centre programmer, teaches creative writing and walks dogs. With her travelling poetry show, Gypsy Rose Poetry, she has performed at venues as diverse as the National Poetry Library and community lunch clubs. Her work has twice been commended in the Aurora Poetry competitions and has appeared in Brittle StarThe Kosmos Journal and Seeing Wetiko: Poems. She was longlisted for Primers in 2017.
