We’re moving!

The Poetry School is delighted to announce that we are moving to 1 Dock Offices, Surrey Quays Road, Canada Water, SE16 2XU.

From the beginning of the Summer Term, our offices and London classrooms will move to this historic Grade II listed building, located just 2 minutes walk from Canada Water Station.

We can’t wait to welcome tutors, students and Poetry School friends to our new home, and hope that everyone likes it as much as we do! We have been incredibly fortunate to have the support of British Land with whom we’ll work to create a community programme at Canada Water. British Land is working in partnership with Southwark Council to develop plans for a new town centre in the area known as the Canada Water Masterplan. We are busy planning open house events and most definitely a housewarming party or two – watch this space!

How do I get there?

Our new home at Number 1 Dock Offices is a 2-minute walk from Canada Water Station. Take the Lower Road exit onto Surrey Quays Road, cross over Deal Porters Way, and the Dock Offices are on the left.

Canada Water Station is on the Jubilee Line and the London Overground, and the nearby bus station is served by the 1, 199, 225, C10 and P12 buses.

Will my course be in the new venue or the old venue?

All the London courses in our Spring Term (taking place before 30 March) will be at our old offices on Lambeth Walk.

All the London courses in our upcoming Summer Term, which starts in May, will take place at our new venue in Canada Water. See our Summer Term courses here.

Is the new venue accessible?

Yes. All of our classes will take place in accessible classrooms and our building has accessible bathroom facilities; we can also make further reasonable adjustments for students with specific needs. The local transport links, including the Jubilee Line and Canada Water Overground Station are also step-free and wheelchair accessible.
