The very talented and very wonderful Emily Berry will be online Friday 15 November 2013 at 1pm to answer your questions. Places are limited, so if you’d like to participate in this live Q&A with Emily and/or submit a question, please email [email protected].
Emily’s first book, Dear Boy, is one of the most lauded debut collections in recent times, announcing a distinctive new voice in poetry. Praised for its bold mixture of intimacy and wry off-handedness, Dear Boy was recently awarded the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. And rightly so. Emily will be with us for just over one hour to unpick many of the themes, characters and narratives scattered throughout Dear Boy, while also casting a critical eye over her influences and offering insight into the difficulties in putting a first collection together.
Emily studied English Literature at Leeds University, and Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College. In 2008, she won an Eric Gregory Award. She is also a former Poetry School tutor and student.
If you’d just like to propose a question and can’t participate in the live chat itself, email [email protected]. We will do our best to fit your query in.
The transcript from this live Q&A will be eventually published on this blog.
