We’re pretty hot on the digital poetry residency at the Poetry School – CAMPUS has played host to nearly a dozen poets now, each of them bringing their own distinct take to what a writer with all the resources of the internet at the end of a mouse can do for an audience.
We are delighted to announce a new collaboration with 1215.today which offers the opportunity for a new six week digital poetry residency. 1215.today is a University of Lincoln project funded by Arts Council England, and commemorates 800 years of the Magna Carta in an online platform that gives young people a space to debate and create. This is their vision: ‘By looking, listening and talking about societal and individual rights through the lens of contemporary art, design, literature, music, film, drama and dance, we aim to agitate and engage.’
This is a paid opportunity which would suit someone with a passion for engaging young poetry audiences online. Download the details here … 1215 Poetry School Digital Poet in Residence
The application deadline is 24th January, so you have plenty of time to get something together. We’re all about to disappear for Christmas so won’t be around to answer questions for a while, I’m afraid. If you’ve got any, save ’em up till 6th when I’m back in the office, and I will answer them speedily via [email protected].
