Clarity & Vision: Advanced Poetry Workshop with Richard Price

Clarity & Vision: Advanced Poetry Workshop with Richard Price

Join this group for close discussion of your writing with acclaimed poet, Richard Price.

* This course will take place on the video-conferencing platform ZOOM *

This course welcomes poets from right across the range of writing, encouraging those from different traditions to learn from each other as the editing process unfolds. Led by the award-winning Richard Price the focus here is on re-drafting to improve the clarity of a poem and bring it closer to the poet’s original vision. This is achieved within a supportive environment where discussion of technical aspects sits alongside new contexts introduced to enrich the poet’s understanding of their craft and develop further.

10 weekly Zoom sessions on Fridays, 11am–1pm (BST/GMT), starts 24 Jan 2025. Please note: Entry to this course is by application only. If you would like to join, please send a submission of three poems to [email protected].

"I have developed a community and started being in contact with Poetry School classmates outside of class time. I have found the depth of feedback on my poetry in class to be exceptional and incredibly helpful. The class also provides structure and motivation."
