Our venue
The Poetry School has moved to our new home in Somerset House Exchange – a vibrant, central London community of arts practitioners, entrepreneurs, and thinkers. To get to us, please come to the New Wing of Somerset House; the north Lancaster Place entrance near Café Nero is the accessible entrance. Access for Wheelchair Users
The Poetry School classrooms are accessible for Wheelchair Users via portable ramps. Please email [email protected] ahead of your visit so that a member of staff is ready to assist you.
Parking
The closest Disabled Badge parking spaces to Somerset House Exchange is Wellington Street WC2E 7BB, which is approx. 159.85m from the venue. For more Disabled Badge parking options, please visit the City of Westminster website.
Public transport
Waterloo National Rail and Underground station (Jubilee line) provides step-free access and is approx. 1km from our venue. From outside the station, the 76, 26, or 341 bus can be taken directly to Aldwych (about 350m from the venue).
Blackfriars National Rail and Underground station (Circle & District lines) also provides step-free access and is approx. 1.1km from our venue.
There are a number of bus routes stopping along the Strand and/or Aldwych, within 100-200m of Somerset House. These include: 1, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 23, 26, 59, 68, 76, 87, 91, 139, 168, 171, 172, 176, 188, 243, 341, 521, RV1 and X68.
