CAMPUS Digital Open Day: join us May 7

CAMPUS – the social network for poets – is hosting its first ever Digital Open Day this Wednesday 7 May.

If you’re currently a CAMPUS member or thinking about joining our community, this is best way to find out more, interact with other poets, as well as a rare opportunity to peek into our many secret vaults. It’s also a great chance for students new to our online course programme to experience peer-to-peer learning first-hand.

Digital Open Day highlights include:

•  Access to previously hidden areas of CAMPUS, including online course groups: see how other online courses have worked and what kind of poems other students are writing (all day – advanced booking only)

•  A live Q&A with Jen Hadfield on her most recent collection Byssus and her writing career, answering questions directly from CAMPUS poets (1pm GMT – advanced booking recommended)

•  A live panel discussion with Kim Moore, Hannah Lowe, Neil Astley (Bloodaxe) and Amy Wack (Seren) on ‘The Path to a First Collection’ (5pm GMT – advanced booking recommended)

•  An Open Workshop with Tom Chivers on the poetics of sleep, with a live chat starting at 1am in the morning (the assignment will be posted 28 April – advanced booking only)

•  Instant advice and feedback on your draft poems from our new Digital Poet in Residence, Kim Moore, in our ‘Show Us Your Poems’ surgery

•  The ‘24/7’ poetry writing challenge: win the chance to have your poem published on the CAMPUS blog and receive one our premium downloads as a prize.

•  A digital welcome pack with ideas and suggestions on how to use CAMPUS, including starting your own writing group.
