Explore Place, Fragmentation, and Identity: Transform Your Poetry in 2025

Poetry is a way to explore who we are, where we belong, and a means to create identity and meaning in a fragmented world.

This season, we’re offering three transformative courses designed to deepen your craft and perspective:

1. Women, Writing, and Place

Use your writing to explore personal identity and the intersections that shape us.

In this course, explore the connections between women, writing, and place. Led by Abbi Parcell, this workshop invites you to uncover the narratives rooted in your surroundings, from local landmarks to internal landscapes.

2 x half-day sessions, running 10.30am–1pm (GMT), on 1 & 15 Mar 2025. This course will take place on the video-conferencing platform ZOOM. Book Here.

2. Fragmentation: Making & Unmaking

Blow-up to glow-up; use non-traditional means to make magic fragmented poems.

Dive into the art of creative deconstruction. This course explores fragmentation as a powerful tool in poetry, allowing you to unmake traditional forms and build new expressions. Discover how to embrace imperfection and fluidity in your craft.

1 x full day session, running 10.30am–4.30pm (GMT), on 15 Mar 2025. This course will take place at The Bindery, 51 Hatton Garden, London, EC1N 8HN. Book Here.

3. Conditions of Invisibility & Creation of the Self, after Gboyega Odubanjo

Gboyega: Locating selfhood, seen-ness, and invisibility in Adam. Decent.

Inspired by Gboyega Odubanjo’s T.S Eliot 2024 shortlisted collection Adam, this course explores identity and invisibility in poetry. Engage with themes of race, culture, and the creation of the self, and learn how to express your unique voice with depth and clarity.

3 Weekly Zoom sessions on Tuesdays, 6.30–8.30pm (GMT), starts 11 Mar 2025. Book Here.
