COURSES & WORKSHOPS

Prices

For information on discounts and concessions, please see our Financial Support page. If you are unsure of which price you should pay, please email [email protected].

Changes to the advertised activities

All our programme details are correct at the time of publishing our printed programme, but we will inform students of any changes to the advertised programme as necessary. Poetry courses and workshops are dynamic activities, and advertised content may occasionally be adapted to take account of students’ needs.

If students have provided us with an email address, we will email details of any changes to their booked activities. We will also list changes on the website. It is a student’s responsibility to confirm that they have the correct details of a booked activity before it begins.

Cancellations

Each course or workshop needs a certain number of students in order to run. We make the decision about whether we are going to run each activity approximately two weeks before it starts or happens. In this scenario a full refund, course transfer or credit note will be offered. If you are intending to book onto a course, please make sure you do so in plenty of time, to help us avoid unnecessary cancellations.

Conduct

A successful Poetry School activity depends on the respect, cooperation and mutual understanding of others. If, in the opinion of the tutor and Poetry School Executive Director, a student is behaving abusively, disrespectfully or in a discriminatory fashion, the Poetry School reserves the right to exclude the student from current and subsequent activities, with no fee refunds made.

PAYMENT

Bursaries

For information on our bursaries, please see our Financial Support page.

The Poetry School Bursary Scheme is supported by the generosity of students and other donors, for which we are very grateful. If you’d like to donate to our bursaries scheme, please visit our Support Us page.

Payment Plans

If you would like to spread the cost of your activities, we can split the fee into two or three monthly payments.

Partial Payment

It is only in the rarest of circumstances that we can enrol students onto part of a course and charge them a pro rata reduced fee – please contact us for individual discussions about these circumstances.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Any deposits you have made for activities that you cancel less than four weeks before the start date are non-refundable.

If we cancel a course, workshop, talk or reading, we will refund you in full.

Credit Notes
