COP29 begins & The Guardian highlights the effectiveness of writing in response to the climate crisis: see our upcoming nature & climate change poetry courses!
COP29 talks kicked off on Monday 11 November turning global attention toward the climate crisis. A recent Guardian feature spotlighted The Laurel Prize, founded by Simon Armitage and run by us, highlighting Armitage’s commitment to putting “the climate emergency at the heart of his laureateship”. The feature also praised our recent event, Summit: A Poetry Festival, as part of the rise of eco-poetry and its powerful response to environmental threats.
Inspired by these timely conversations, we invite you to book our Spring Term ecopoetry workshops, where poets and activists will explore themes such as climate change, biodiversity, eco-justice, and environmental activism.
These workshops are designed for emerging poets, creative activists, and writers eager to address global crises through poetry. Gain confidence in writing climate-focused poetry that speaks to today’s environmental challenges.
Book now to join this vital movement and learn to weave climate action into your work.
