Financial Support

Can’t afford the full price of one of our courses? Don’t despair – there are options available.

Email us on [email protected] to pay at one of our concessionary rates, below; apply for a bursary; or to ask any further questions.

Please note: that you will always be required to provide proof of eligibility for our concessionary rates every time you book a course with us. Concessions do not apply to our one-to-one programme.

TIME-LIMITED DISCOUNTS

From time to time, we also offer one-off and last-minute deals to our newsletter subscribers. Sign up here.

INSTALMENTS AND PAYMENT PLANS

We recognise that paying the full cost of a course upfront can be off-putting for some, so we’re happy to spread the cost of our courses over 3 months. Just email us on [email protected] to arrange a payment plan.

BURSARIES

If you can’t afford the full cost of taking part in Poetry School activities, you can apply for a bursary to cover up to 100% of activity costs. Priority is given to people who have not received financial support from us before.

Before submitting your bursary application, please ensure you have already set up a
Poetry School account with us
. If you have not done this it may affect the processing of your application.

Our bursary application deadline for our Autumn term was Monday 18 August 2025. Applications will re-open again once our Spring term courses have launched later this year.

PLEASE NOTE

  • If you want to apply for a bursary for one of our Advanced courses and you have not taken it before, you must send across 3 samples of your poetry to [email protected] before submitting your bursary application. If your application to the course is accepted, you will them be invited to submit your bursary form.
  • You can apply for a maximum of two courses in your bursary form. If you include more than two courses then these will not count towards your application.
  • Our bursary scheme excludes the MA Foundation Seminar and our 1-2-1 services.
