Saturday Sessions with Kathryn Simmonds

Monthly all-day Saturday workshops with Kathryn Simmonds.

Do you want to take your poetry to a new level? Do you need a gentle boot to write more regularly? Do you want a trustworthy, knowledgeable set of writing colleagues to give you kind but incisive feedback on your poems?

Then, join this long-running course, with a supportive tutor and friendly students, to be assisted and uplifted in your writing, as we workshop drafts of your poems-in-progress each month, offering considered advice, developmental feedback, and passionate poetic community.

3 all-day sessions on monthly Saturdays in London (venue tbc): 10.30am – 4.30pm (BST) on 24 May; 28 June; 19 July.

This course is currently in a Priority Booking period, meaning it is only available to students continuing from the previous term. We will open any remaining spaces to new students on Monday 17 March. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for this, please email [email protected].

Kathryn Simmonds’s third collection, Scenes from Life on Earth, is published by Salt. Her poems have appeared in various publications including Poetry, The Guardian, The New Statesman, The Poetry Review and The Irish Times and, along with her short stories, have been broadcast on BBC radio. Her first picture book, Be my Sunflower is published by Walker Books. She lives in Norwich with her family and has run a number of courses for The Poetry School.
