Want to be a poet? Go Write Ahead.
Write Ahead is our free poetry workshop series for anyone starting to dabble in poetry, giving those curious about our classes a sample of what we do.
Each class will comprise quick-fire writing activities, an introduction to some contemporary poems, discussion, feedback, and a chance to talk to staff and current students.
These classes are suitable for anyone:
+ who is sharing and discussing poetry with a group of strangers for the first time
+ who has just started to write or is returning to writing after a long absence
+ who is interested in meeting up with new writers and poets in a casual, supportive environment
If you’re starting out, working with a writing group can be a nerve-racking experience. Write Aheads are the ideal way to work through your wobbly first forays into poetry, leaving you feeling confident enough to explore your creative writing further.
Next session: Friday 15 February, 7–9pm. Refreshments included.
Please book online to reserve your place. A small number of places will always be reserved for last-minute drop-ins.
