This is a rare opportunity for feedback on your work from prize-winning poet and tutor Liz Berry, author of Black Country (Chatto, 2014) and The Republic of Motherhood (Chatto, 2018).

Liz will spend 8 May resident with the Poetry School, with four 1-hour slots available, for in-depth one-to-one discussion on your poetry; so, book a slot and prepare a selection of poems-in-progress for advice and guidance.

The following slots are available (all times given in GMT):

10.30–11.30am
11.45am–12.45pm
2.30–3.30pm
3.45–4.45pm

Liz Berry’s first book of poems, Black Country (Chatto, 2014), described as a “sooty, soaring hymn to her native West Midlands” (the Guardian) was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, received a Somerset Maugham Award, and won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Award and Forward Prize for Best First Collection 2014. Her pamphlet The Republic of Motherhood (Chatto, 2018) was a Poetry Book Society Pamphlet choice and the title poem won the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem 2018.
