In-depth 1-2-1 discussion on your poetry with Leah Umansky.

This is a rare opportunity for feedback on your work from celebrated poet and tutor Leah Umansky, author of The Barbarous Century (Eyewear, 2018) and curator and host of The COUPLET Reading Series in NYC. 

Leah will spend 20 February resident with the Poetry School, with four 1-hour slots available, for in-depth one-to-one discussion on your poetry; so, book a slot and prepare a selection of poems-in-progress for advice and guidance. 

The following slots are available (all times given in GMT): 

2–3pm
3.15–4.15pm
4.30–5.30pm
6–7pm 

To book your session with Leah, click ‘purchase course’ and then select a slot from the drop-down menu. You may submit up to 6 poems of no more than 150 lines total. Poems should be sent to [email protected] no less than 2 weeks before your session.

Leah Umansky is the author of the collections, The Barbarous Century (2018), and Domestic Uncertainties (2013), amongst others. She earned her MFA in Poetry at Sarah Lawrence College and is the curator and host of The COUPLET Reading Series in NYC. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in such places as POETRY, Guernica, Bennington Review, The Academy of American Poets’ Poem-A-Day, Poetry International, The New York Times, Rhino, Pleiades, and the anthologies, The Eloquent Poem (Persea Books) and Misrepresented Peoples (NYQ Books).
