Intimate monthly seminars with Steve Spence in Plymouth.

Monthly seminar groups with Steve Spence in Plymouth, featuring close reading, in-depth discussion and feedback on your poems-in-progress, as well as conversation around contemporary poetry and guidance on your next steps as a poet. With a maximum of eight students in each group, these seminars provide an intimate setting and generate supportive and critical friendships, helping you to become part of your local poetry community.

Entry into the seminars is by application only. If you would like to sign up, please contact the office for information and we will assist you in the application process. Do not book online before applying.

8 x monthly sessions in Quaker House, Plymouth (PL4 6LF). Classes will be on the below Thursdays and run 6:30 – 9pm.

About Steve Spence View Profile

Steve Spence lives in Plymouth and co-organises live poetry group The Language Club. His reviews and poetry have appeared in Great Works, Shearsman, Stride, Tears in the Fence, Tenth Muse and The Rialto. He was assistant editor of Terrible Work magazine for four issues and in 2007 completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Plymouth. His debut book, A Curious Shipwreck (Shearsman, 2010), was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. His second book, Limits of Control, was published by Penned in the Margins in 2011.
