Intimate seminars with Jacqueline Saphra in London & on Zoom.

Fortnightly seminar group with Jacqueline Saphra, featuring close reading, in-depth discussion and feedback on your poems-in-progress, as well as conversation around contemporary poetry and guidance on your next steps as a poet. With a maximum of six students in each group, these seminars provide an intimate setting and generate supportive and critical friendships, helping you to become part of your local poetry community.

Entry into the seminars is by application only. If you would like to sign up, please email [email protected] for information and we will assist you in the application process. Do not book online before applying.

Sessions will run 6.30–9pm on the below dates and generally be held in-person at the Poetry School, Somerset House, although there will be some sessions on Zoom throughout the year, which will be organised by the tutor directly with the group.

About Jacqueline Saphra View Profile

Jacqueline Saphra is the author of nine plays, five chapbooks and five poetry collections. Her second collection, All My Mad Mothers (Nine Arches Press) was shortlisted for the TS Eliot Prize and her fifth, Velvel’s Violin, a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, was out from from Nine Arches Press in July 2023. She has taught in many different settings including The Arvon Foundation, The Oxford University Summer School and the MsT at Cambridge University.
