Advanced Poetry Workshop with Mark Waldron (Summer 2021)
Develop your writing through discussion and feedback in this advanced course with Mark Waldron.
* To ensure the safety of our tutors and students, this course will take place on video-conferencing platform, ZOOM *
This advanced course will focus primarily on developing your current work-in-progress, including individual poems and poems-in-sequence, through reading, discussion, feedback, re-drafting and discussion of ‘motives’ and direction. Weekly writing tasks, plus occasional focuses on a particular practitioner/poet/book, or a tangential-but relevant session will engender fresh thinking.
10 weekly sessions on Wednesdays, 6.45–8.45pm, starts 5 May 2021. This is the third of a three-term course. Students from term one will be given priority booking for this course. General booking for any remaining places will open on 8 March.
Please note: Entry to this course is by application only. If you would like to join please send a submission of three poems to [email protected] If you book online before applying we cannot guarantee that you will be granted entry to the course.
More information about how all our face-to-face courses work can be found on the Face-to-Face courses page.
'Mark had a good way of following up on subjects that came up during discussions, had great insight and was knowledgeable about a wide range of poetics. He also read the group dynamic well and was able to ensure each person felt supported and challenged.'
